Meet Laura

Hi, I’m Laura Weissbart — behavioral nutritionist, mom of two and creator of Snacktivity Lab.

I spent almost 15 years at WeightWatchers building programs like POINTS® and when I became a mom, I began to question:

How do we help kids build a positive relationship with food in the first place?

Snacktivity Lab grew from this question.

I started creating playful food activities (“Snacktivities”) that let kids explore fruits and vegetables the same way they explore everything else — with their hands, their imaginations and a lot of curiosity.

And I began seeing little moments that felt important: a child opening a snap pea like looking for hidden treasure and asking for another. A selective eater proudly telling their parent about a new food they tried. Kids choosing broccoli as their favorite “paintbrush.” Even my own son becoming curious about what I was chopping in the kitchen because he wanted to help.

That’s what Snacktivity Lab is about.

Not convincing kids that they should eat vegetables.

Instead, giving them enough positive, playful experiences around food that they become interested in discovering them for themselves.

I bring together nutrition science, behavior change, sensory learning and a mom’s understanding of what feeding kids actually looks like — and turn it into something that feels a whole lot like play.

Welcome to the Lab. Let’s play with our food.
